Vinod Sharan Vinod was born in India on August 23rd, 1970. He came to USA when he was 3 years old. He graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Ft. Worth in 1988. He then proceeded to study Industrial Engineering at the Columbia University in New York City. His heart was always in finance and so he pursued his MBA from Edwin L. Cox School of Business. He pursued his career in a multinational bank.

Vinod was happily married with his family that included his three children. He was extremely involved with his oldest son’s baseball practice. He was always seen holding his other two children and playing with them whenever he had time. He enjoyed low key family events and met regularly with his parents, cousins, uncles, aunts and other extended family. He enjoyed playing tennis with his friends in the neighborhood on weekends. He also had the passion to travel to new places, and was very quick on planning out the itinerary whenever he had the opportunity. He enjoyed grilling on holidays and eating out in various restaurants.

These are some of the things that his friends would like to say:

“Vinod and I had lunch together often, he once turned to me and showed me a picture of him holding his newborn daughter, and he said this is what makes it all worth it. I have never seen him happier than when he was talking about his kids.” – Frank

“One of the most carefully thoughtful people I have ever known. Vinod always carefully considered his responses when asked for his opinion or what he thought about a matter. It may have been a serious question about a professional matter or even a light discussion about the Cowboy’s chances of winning their next game, I would always be certain Vinod’s response was going to be carefully considered based on a variety of facts.” – Scott Van Aylstyne
